Number of Keywords: the number of keywords the selected host ranks for in the first three pages of Google's SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Pages).

Total Market - the total number of ranking keywords in that market for the selected host and each of the top 100 competing hosts (unique keywords, i.e. excluding overlapping keywords for which more than one domain ranks).

Searches: the average monthly search volume (based on data from Google) for the keywords for which the selected host ranks (in the top 3 pages)

Total Market (Searches): the average monthly search volume for all unique ranking keywords for all the hosts in that market (selected host + all competing hosts).

Visibility Share - see Visibility (%) below.

Total Market (Visibility) - the aggregate total of the Search Visibility Score for the selected host and all competing domains in the market.

Market Value - also called "Visibility Value" - see Market Value below.

Total Market (Value) - the aggregate total of the Market Value for the selected host and all competing domains in the market.

COMPETITIVE MATRIX

Sum of Organic Traffic (Y-axis) - an estimate of the amount of visibility that each host may very well be getting based on a combination of their ranking keywords, their ranking positions and the search volumes for each ranking keyword.

Domain Strength (X-axis) - the strength of the host, based on a combination of Majestic's Trust Flow and Citation Flow metrics.

Bubble Size - the size of each bubble is proportionate to the number of ranking keywords for each host in that market.

NB - 'Zoom' feature: you can zoom into an area with your mouse by clicking and dragging over an area of the bubble chart. Once you do this, you'll notice a 'Reset zoom' button will appear in the top right-hand corner of the chart which allows you to reset the chart to the original zoom level.

COMPARISON CHARTS:

"MARKET VISIBILITY %" & "MARKET VISIBILITY TOTAL"

Market Visibility % - a visual representation of the market visibility share for the top 10 competing domains in your market. In the above example, the BBC website, www.bbcgoodfood.com obviously enjoys a sizeable market share, with its parent site (www.bbc.co.uk) closed behind in second place.

Market Visibility Total - a visual representation of how much organic visibility the selected host enjoys when compared to the total size of the market.

MARKET SHARE OVERVIEW - DETAIL TABLE

The Market Share module conducts an analysis which looks at the keywords you rank for, what domains your domain competes with and the keywords those domains also rank for. It then takes all this data and calculates an overall 'league table' of the top 100 domains in your market. These are listed in the table below the summary boxes and charts. So, this table contains important information about the top 100 competing hosts in Google for the originally researched host in the selected country.

Screen_Shot_2017-10-23_at_09.39.54.png

Site - the 'host' in the top 100 domains that your domain competes with (the table is automatically sorted with the market leader shown at the top).

Visibility (%) - an estimate of the amount of organic visibility for that domain in the top 3 pages of Google SERPs. The Search Visibility percentage for the host in the market is measured by calculating a host's Search Visibility Score divided by the Total Search Visibility Score for the whole market.

Value (%) - Total "Visibility Value", represented as a percentage of the overall market Visibility Value: the total value of the host's Search Visibility in the selected market based on its organic Search Visibility multiplied by the CPC for each ranking keyword. (This effectively, therefore, indicates what that estimated amount of organic traffic would have cost on average if you had obtained such an amount of traffic from running a PPC campaign).

Ranking Keywords - the number of ranking keywords for this host in the market. For the original host, this will be all ranking keywords in the market that have been discovered in the first three pages of Google in the relevant country. For competing hosts this will be the number of ranking keywords that they rank for based on the original host's market (you will need to research the competing host to find all its ranking keywords and URLs; a host may rank for keywords in both the US and UK market, but the analysis will only show the number of ranking keywords for each host for the market selected).

Ranking Pages - the number of ranking URLs for this host in the market. For the original host, this will be all ranking pages in the market that have been discovered from keywords ranking in the first three pages of Google in the relevant country. For competing hosts this will be the number of ranking pages that they rank based on keywords in the original host's market (you will need to research the competing host to find all its ranking URLs and keywords). In other words, it is the number of competing URLs for which each host has a ranking in this market.

Common Keywords - the number of ranking keywords for which the selected host and the competing host both rank (in the top 3 pages of Google's SERPs).

Market Value - the total value of the host's Search Visibility in the selected market based on its organic Search Visibility multiplied by the CPC for each ranking keyword.

Back Links - the number of 'fresh' backlinks linking to this host (according to Majestic's Fresh Index).

Root Domains - the number of unique referring domains linking to this host (according to Majestic).

Trust Flow - the Trust Flow score for this host (according to Majestic). Trust Flow is a measurement of the quality of links pointing to this host. See Majestic's blog for a full explanation.

Citation Flow - the Citation Flow score for this host (according to Majestic). Citation Flow is a measure of the quantity of links pointing to a host. See Majestic's blog for a full explanation of flow metrics.
